On the importance of bug fixing
We’ve always prided ourselves in releasing a product of high quality. Unfortunately, issues do pop up and we do our best to solve these depending on the severity of the issue. This is one of the reasons we have a two-week release schedule. For some, it might feel we release way too often, but for us, this is a great way to get fixes out as quickly as possible, without having to resort to patch releases. Having a good system in place for handling and resolving bugs is one of the pillars of coding awesome, stable software.
Every release, we fix a number of bugs from our backlog, plus a selection of new ones that need attention. In Yoast SEO 12.7, we also fixed a couple of bugs with the input of Saša Todorović. These concerned a bug where sub-sitemaps were rendered for non-public custom post types, plus a bug where nested gallery images were not included in the image count in the sitemap. In addition to the bug fixes, we improved the security of the plugin by adding output escaping.

Hey Yoast, I’ve just updated to 12.7. I still can’t see highlighted text on the readability tools. It has an eye icon “highlight this result in the text” — showing, for example, consecutive sentences. The eye lights up, but the text never highlights. Any tips?

Hello, what are the best benefits of this pluggin? I would like to improve my WP site SEO. I am thinking about buy full version.
Hey I paid for the premium plugin on GPLPLUS and it’s been activated but each time am writing a blog post I get this notifications from toast eel saying I should activate it but it is… can this be a serious issue?

unfortunately, there are several companies that are selling the ‘Yoast SEO Plugin’. We’re definitely not affiliated with them and the product isn’t the Yoast SEO plugin, it’s just the files: These lack functionality and support.
Yoast.com is the only website where you can buy the real deal.

Since updating to the latest version of Yoast, we are now seeing a blank meta box on our site. The Yoast meta box shows up, but it’s blank. It’s the same behavior referenced in this post: https://yoast.com/help/yoastseo-meta-box-is-blank/
After running through the standard troubleshooting of theme and plugins, and the conflict seems to be between Yoast and Classic Editor plugin. Hopefully there will be a fix soon!

Hi kwhitman, I’m sorry to hear about the blank meta box. That shouldn’t happen. We’ve released Yoast SEO 12.7.1 which fixes an issue with relative URLs causing a blank meta box which might be the problem. You can try updating and see if that fixes it.
I am testing an upgrade of the Yoast plugin to 12.7 on WordPress 5.2.2 and am getting a fatal error:

Hi Julie, I’m sorry to hear about that. It might be that the WordPress upgrade routine didn’t run correctly. You can try to delete the plugin and reinstall Yoast SEO 12.7.1. You won’t lose any of your data.
@Mercer Taylor if you are using classic editor Plugin remove it you will see the post preview.

We had Yoast installed and I liked it, but it wouldn’t let me see the preview of the post, so we had to remove it. I’d like to be able to use it, but I need to see my previews!

In latest version if i will change the page directory or delete it, the Yoast SEO will automatically push an notification to change or undo. but it is not working as i have changed but no notification is coming

Hi there my site mispronounces the site title and shows the page title instead of the title, is there a problem with the plugin?
